Crocheted by Syrian refugee women in Lebanon

A crocheted platypus has simple charm with its duck-like bill and beaver-like tail. 

This handmade product is crocheted by Syrian refugee women in Bekaa Valley, Lebanon, where Refugee Protection International supports its refugee-led partner, Multi Aid Programs, to train women in their craft. Proceeds support refugee women's livelihoods, non-formal primary schools for Syrian refugee children in Lebanon, and maternal and child health in Syria.  

Size: approx. 2in x 1.5in x 6in

Material: Each item is lovingly crocheted using the amigurumi style with cotton and acrylic string, stuffed with cotton.
