Yellow Giraffe (Large) Sitting in Dots Crochet Plush

Crocheted by Syrian refugee women in Lebanon

This giraffe looks like it has settled in and has no plans to rush anywhere. Its long neck, dotted body, and relaxed sitting pose give it an easygoing personality, while the choice of squinting or standard eyes lets you decide just how much attitude it should have. Handmade in the amigurumi style, it is a cheerful statement piece with plenty of character from every angle.

This handmade product is crocheted by displaced Syrian and Lebanese women in Bekaa Valley, Lebanon, where Refugee Protection International supports its refugee-led partner, Multi Aid Programs, to train women in their craft. Proceeds support refugee women's income and children's education in Lebanon, as well as malnutrition screening and treatment for on both sides of the Syrian-Lebanese border.
