Giraffe “Tansy” in Soft Turquoise and Coral – Handmade Crochet Plushie

Crocheted by Syrian refugee women in Lebanon

Tansy looks like she is ready to spin until the whole room gets dizzy. Her flouncy turquoise skirt, striped sleeves, and long giraffe legs give her plenty of movement, while the coral body and stitched smile keep her bright and playful. She has the kind of look that feels equal parts ballerina, daydreamer, and total goofball.

This handmade product is crocheted by Syrian refugee women in Lebanon, where Refugee Protection International supports its refugee-led partner, Multi Aid Programs, to train women in their craft. Proceeds support women's livelihoods, non-formal primary schools for refugee children in Lebanon, and maternal and child health in Syria.

Material: Each item is lovingly crocheted using the amigurumi method with cotton-acrylic thread and stuffed with cotton.
