Crocheted by Syrian refugee women in Lebanon

Elias looks like the grumpy guardian of the garden, with raised brows, oversized ears, and a deep brown hat pulled low over his head. The soft melon shirt warms up his otherwise earthy palette, while the taupe pants and stitched belt keep the look grounded. Handmade in the amigurumi style, he has the same woodland character as Olav but with a moodier, more mischievous personality.

This handmade product is crocheted by war-affected Syrian and Lebanese women in Bekaa Valley, Lebanon, through Refugee Protection International's creative partnership with Multi Aid Programs. Proceeds support women's livelihoods, as well as schools and nutrition for children recovering from conflict in the region.

Material: Each item is lovingly crocheted using the amigurumi technique with cotton and acrylic string, stuffed with cotton.
