Crocheted by Syrian refugee women in Lebanon

Nils comes dressed like he is ready for the colder side of the woodland, with a striped red-and-ivory hat pulled over his head and a soft ivory shirt below. The tiny red buttons echo the hat, while the taupe pants and dark belt keep the rest of the look grounded. His oversized ears and relaxed expression give him a quieter, slightly sleepy personality compared with the bolder gnomes in the collection.

This handmade product is crocheted by war-affected Syrian and Lebanese women in Bekaa Valley, Lebanon, through Refugee Protection International's creative partnership with Multi Aid Programs. Proceeds support women's livelihoods, as well as schools and nutrition for children recovering from conflict in the region.

Material: Each item is lovingly crocheted using the amigurumi technique with cotton and acrylic string, stuffed with cotton.
